What we collect

When you join the LiteDay waitlist, we collect:

• Your email address
• The date and time you subscribed
• Your IP address at the time of subscription (collected automatically by our email service provider)

We do not collect your name, location, phone number, or any other personal information unless you provide it voluntarily — for example, by replying to one of our emails or by entering a first name on the subscriber profile page.

When you browse liteday.app, we use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. This includes aggregated data such as page views, approximate location (derived from IP address), referring website, and device type. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may also log your IP address and basic browser information in standard server logs.

Our core website analytics are cookieless by design. Where cookies are used for advertising measurement, we request consent through our cookie banner.

Why we collect it

We collect your email address so we can:

• Confirm your subscription to the LiteDay waitlist
• Send you updates about LiteDay as it is built
• Notify you when LiteDay launches

By confirming your subscription, you consent to LiteDay sending you the specific communications described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from any LiteDay email, or by emailing hello@liteday.app. We will not use your data for any other purpose without your additional, explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent, given when you submitted the waitlist form and confirmed your email through the double opt-in process.

Who processes your data

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) as our email service provider. Kit stores your email address and subscription data on their servers, which are located in the United States. Kit's privacy practices are described in their privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.

For subscribers in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the United States. This transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) entered into with Kit.

We use Vercel to host liteday.app and to provide website analytics. Vercel may process your IP address, browser information, and visit data as part of standard hosting and analytics operations. Vercel's privacy practices are described at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We use Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising measurement. Details about what data we share with Meta and your choices are described in the 'Advertising and marketing partners' section below.

These are the third parties that process your data.

Advertising and marketing partners

We work with Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing and to reach people who may be interested in LiteDay.

When you visit liteday.app, Meta Pixel — a small piece of code — loads in your browser if you have given consent through our cookie banner. The Pixel sets cookies that allow Meta to recognize you across visits and link your activity on liteday.app to your Facebook or Instagram account.

When you join the waitlist, we additionally send the following information to Meta through their server-to-server Conversions API:

• A hashed version of your email address (used by Meta to match your interaction with their advertising systems; the hash cannot be reversed to identify you outside of that match)
• Your IP address and browser information
• The fact that you completed the waitlist signup

This sharing helps us understand whether our advertising is reaching the right people and helps Meta show relevant content to people like you.

If you decline cookies, the Meta Pixel will not load, and we will not send your conversion data to Meta. Your waitlist signup will still be processed and you will still receive emails from LiteDay.

If you would like us to also stop sending server-side conversion data to Meta about your waitlist signup (which we send under legitimate interest), email hello@liteday.app and we will exclude your data from this processing.

You can manage your tracking preferences at any time using the privacy trigger button in the bottom-left corner of liteday.app, or by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

You can also opt out of personalized advertising from Meta directly:

Our legal basis for advertising measurement is consent (for cookies) and legitimate interest (for server-side conversion data). You can object to either at any time by emailing hello@liteday.app.

How long we keep it

We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to the waitlist. If you unsubscribe, your data is removed from our active mailing list. You may request full deletion at any time by emailing hello@liteday.app.

Your rights

Under GDPR, PDPA, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request your data in a portable format
• Object to how we process your data
• Object to your data being shared with advertising partners
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@liteday.app. We will respond within 30 days.

You may also unsubscribe from any LiteDay email using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message.

LiteDay is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 16, or under 13 in jurisdictions where that lower threshold applies (including Singapore under PDPA). If we become aware that such data has been inadvertently collected, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data to LiteDay, please contact hello@liteday.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as LiteDay grows. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated by email to current subscribers.
